Charles W. McMillan, 70, died Friday, November 17, 2005, at his residence in Long County. The Tifton native retired from the U.S. Air Force with 20 years' service, and was later associated with Delta Life Insurance Company. He was a square dance caller for 20 years, a member of ASCAP and American Callers Association, and served as president of SEGFRS Callers of Savannah.
He is survived by his wife, Anita Cooper McMillan of Glennville; daughters, Debra and Gwen McMillan of TX, April McMillan of MN, Lisa Harmon of Port Wentworth, and Jeannie Denmark of Ellabell; sons, Charles McMillan, Jr., of OH and Andrew Jay Stallings of Pembroke; sisters, Helen Hall of Atlanta and Madge Doles in Inverness, FL; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 21, at Cobb Funeral Home, Glennville chapel, with the Rev. Charlie Cooper officiating. Burial was in Little Rock Baptist Church Cemetery, with full military honors.
Pallbearers were Josh Privette, John Narcarti, Bobby Fuller, Aaron Raulerson, Jimmy Stacey, Theron Futch, and Johnny Shruptine.
Cobb Funeral Home of Glennville, GA, was in charge of the arrangements.
