If you could only get together some more McNail names to go on, maybe we could make a connection. The oldest McNail in the Illinois McNail line is William B McNail and I think he married a Hawkins and they had upteen children. Now I think William might have been a brother or some relative of my John McNail b Abt 1763 and came to MO 1799.
Some of the other names in my line are Benjamin S McNail, my GGGGrandfather, he married Savannah Stout in 1837 in Washington County, Mo. Their son was Jacob Whitaker McNail who married Elizabeth Adella Haven. Their son was Dallas Ellsworth McNail who married Bessie Rose Anna Armstrong and they had my grandfather, Earl Calvin McNail b 1907 in St. Louis, Mo. That is my direct line but I have a huge McNail database.
