John McNamara b. about 1846 Ireland d. Sept 22, 1900 Detroit, Michigan. married Bridget Ryan.

Just received death certificate from city of Detroit. It provides fathers name as Thomas McNamara, mothers name unknown. Birth date is left blank. Age is 54 years. Age at marriage is 21 years. Number of children at time of death 10---7 of them living.

Children of John and Bridget: Thomas b. 1867 Indiana, Joseph b. 1873 Indiana, Ambrose b. 1876 Indiana, Anne b. 1878 Detroit, Loretta b. 1879 Detroit, John b. 1883 Detroit, Blanche b. 1888 Detroit, Margaret b. 1889 Detroit, 2 children I have not located yet.

I don't see them in the 1870 census.

I know John and Bridget were married in the US. I am assuming in Indiana but don't know where in Indiana.

With so little information on John I am not sure where to look to go back to next generation.
