My Name is Lorne Walter Lillico 1950, My mom was Sadie Grace McRann 1925-1995, Her father was George McRann 1876-1950, His father was William McRann 1851-1925, His father was James (senior)1826-1874. I am trying to find out if his brother was Patrick McRann 1834-13 sept 1909and Margaret 1841-15 Sept 1917 from Drumshanbo, Co Lietrim.
I live in Calgary ,Alberta, Canada. In 2007 we went to ireland and actually got to meet Shane McRann, his sisters Evaline and Monica. Evaline was most gracious and took us to the original Home site by Lough Allen and showed us around. the house had been lived in long be for 1751 and is still standing although it is only a storage building how.
We believe James was Cathoic and Mary Ellen Mcaffery was prodestant and that that was one of the main reasons that they came to Canada in about 1850. I believe they landed in Quebec and then moved to Ailsa Craig, Middlesex, Ontario, Canada. they then moved to Grayson, Saskatchewan and then to Bay Tree, Alberta where they home stead in some beautiful but very difficult country.
