Scottish Church records reveal that William Orme McRobie married Elizabeth Deuchars in Perth, Scotland 1833, they had 7 children, Elizabeth Alexander 1834,John Deuchars 1834, Margaret Alexander 1838, Janet Thomson 1840,Willamina 1843,John 1845, George Deuchars 1847. THEN William Orme immigrated to Montreal, Canada in 1850 whereupon he married Ellen Craib in 1859 and continued the production line ( 6 kids), Records of St Gabriel Presbyterian Chruch in Montreal record: John George 1859 (my grandfather),Maria Gil Henderson 1870, May 1872, Meggie Winks 1874, Elizabeth Crop 1875, Lorine Campbell 1879.

The name was MacRobie in Scotland whereupon they changed it to McRobie for Canada. Most of the years listed are when that child was baptized, birth dates unknown.

Can anyone make a connection to any of these individuals? I sure hope so. Looking forward to hearing from you McRobies. Don't ask me why there are no kids between 1859 and 1870.........maybe he was in jail !
