All I know with regard to time frame was "their later years" as referenced in a history book regarding California (written by J.M. Guinn - published 1907). The book references a short biography on Capt. James A. McVicar...a sea Captain who finally settled in San Pedro. He was part owner in a business known as "McVicar and Brand" and built a house on 14th St. near Mesa. He married Annie Edwards in 1887 and at some later date (i'm pretty sure after the turn of the century) her parents moved in with them. The Edwards were from England. Mr, Edwards was a plasterer. That is pretty much all I've been able to learn about the Edwards family. Thanks for your interest and photos.
