Surnames: McWilliams, Watt
Seeking McWilliams information in County Armagh, Ireland prior to 1750. A widow McWilliams migrated to America between 1740 and 1750 with three known children: John, Hannah, and William (1739-1819). Her maiden name is believed to have been WATT. The father was reportedly killed in an Irish skirmish. The family was Presbyterian, most likely Scotch and a part of the Ulster plantation efforts.

The family is said to have first settled at Bristol, Bucks County. The history of William is largely known after his marriage to Sarah Johnston Nicols in York County, 1771. Any clues prior to this time or on the Watt connection greatly appreciated.
