We have been seaching for Matthew Meath's birthplace. He came to USA late 1800's. Lived in NJ. Died in NJ. We've been given only Ireland as birth place. We've written and taken two trips to Ireland. NO luck. Arhives in D.C. showed a brother John and we learned Matthew may have had parents by the name of John and Bridget...or it could have been the brother's name and wife??? Matthew was married to Mary Masterson and had three children in NJ. Anyone with help, we would love it. We are now wondering if his birthplace was in Scotland. Heard there was a McNamee or MacNamee as a way of spelling Meath or vice versa.??? Very confusing.
