Mechanic Family

To anyone researching the Mechanic family...I have been researching my Mechanic family for fifteen years and have traced them back to a town in Lithuania called Ariogala in the district of Kovno...At times in was known as Russia...My charts lead me to believe that most of the Bernards, Barney's, and Pinchas', belong to us since these names keep repeating themselves from generation to generation, along with Harry, Norman, and Sara/Sadie...I have recently discovered a branch of the family in South Africa, the descendants of Pinchas Mechanic, and would very like to hear from anyone researching this family name...There are many variations of spellings prior to this Anglicized version of Mechanic, some being Mekhanik, Mechanik, etc...

To all Mechanics

This is a message to all the Mechanics. Up until very recently my family were not aware of the great number of Mechanics based around the world. We were only aware of my fathers family which consists of himself and his brother and a few cousins based in England and South Africa. We were just curious to how they came to be such a large spread throughout America and the origins of some of the families and whether you are all connected or not.
Thank you and I would be grateful for any response
M Mechanic
