I will start with my first ancestors to settle in the Lanaudiere Region of Quebec. They were exiled in Connecticut (USA)from 1755-1766, from there the three brothers came to l'Assomption where they spent the winter of 1766-67, they then went into the Seigneurie of Saint-Sulpice where their lands were granted. The three brothers were (1)Pierre Melancon who married Marguerite Lord on 19 January 1778 at St-Jacques-de-l'Achigan, (2)Amable Melancon who first married Marie Richard on 26 May 1777 at St-Jacques-de-l'Achigan, his second marriage was to Marguerite Lanoue on 4 February 1793 at St-Jacques-de-l'Achigan, (3) Claude Melancon he married Marie-Ludivine Gaudet on 14 September 1778 at Point-Aux-Trembles. I am looking to connect with their descendants living in this area of Quebec.
Thank You for any help.
Eugene J. Melancon
