Harmon Melchior was born in Germany about 1819. Kitty and Harmon married and raised a family in Frederick Co., Maryland. They had a son, William, who married Caroline Appold. William and Caroline moved to Baltimore, Maryland and raised their family.

There is a Harmon Melchior listed in the 1880 Census but the rest of the family doesn't match the FGS.

Any information on their ancestry would be greatly appreciated. I have reached a dead end.
