Melsons in Randolph County North Carolina, 1779- 1790

Surnames: Melson, Milliken, Steed, Gorrell, Munhollen, Bolin, Bowlen, Graves, King, Hutson, Hudson, Derm, Conner
I am posting the latest research that I have on the Melsons in Randolph County North Carolina before 1800. I am researching the Peter Melson in these records. Peter Melson had moved to Burke County, North Carolina by about 1795 and then on to Cumberland County Kentucky about 1804. In Burke County, North Carolina records, Peter Melson is associated with a Thomas King just as in the Randolph County North Carolina land warrants below. Since Peter was born between 1765 in 1770, he would be too young to be the Melson mentioned in the 1779 land warrant below: "Melson's land claim".
