My great grandmothers name was Adeline Menard and she was 1 of two sisters born to Francis (Frank) Menard and Flora Neal.
Francis Menards father was Pierre (Peter) Menard II m. Elizabeth Sangaretta(? on spelling, Am. indian) her father was shaman and judge for the confederated tribes of Grand Ronde.OR.
Pierre II was the son of Pierre (Peter) menard I m. 1.Josephte Youte April 4, 1842 (also Am. Indian) 2.m. Marie Blackfoot 3.m. Therese Saste
I've been told that Pierre was french-canadian and worked for the Hudson Bay Co. I believe his parents are Louis Menard and Therese Labonte but am not sure. I have been told that we are related to the Labonte's, so this is why I came to this conclusion. Is there anyone out there that can help? Pierre Menard I died on the Grand Ronde reservation June 11, 1877.
