Though my grandfather was born in Caguas he is a Merced himself and my mother is a Merced who was born in Santurce Puerto Rico...I am feeling some lineage here =]

My favorite cousin! I met your mom a few years ago at George's 50th birthday party. No pictures. My mom doesn't have a whole lot of information either. I just started this search yesterday. My father's name is Luis. I think I ran into your mom at my grandma's house a few weeks ago. Does your mom remember anything about Zacarias? Any pictures? Do you know why she lived with Anacleta?

That's funny. I am Alberta's daugher. Benita is my aunt. Who is your parent (my cousin)? Unfortunately, I am not that close with that side of the family but my mom visits Benita regularly.

2nd reply. I checked with my mother. She does recall some of the aunts and uncles (Anacleta, Martin). In fact, her sister lived with Anacleta for a little while when she was very young. As I understand it, Zacarias was fairly young when he died.

Was Zacarias Merced Santiago married to a woman named Lucia Torres (b. 1914). Could it have been a second marriage because Zacarias would have been a little older. They were my maternal grandparents.

Great-grandfather is Zacarias Merced Santiago, b. abt. 1897. Parents are Pedro Merced b. abt. 1847 and Filomena Santiago b. abt. 1875. Zacarias siblings are Candido, Anacleta, Martin, Florentina, Aguido, etc. Let me know if anybody has any information or is related. Thanks.

hi my name is jessica merced, don't know much about my family name, but maybe we can be related. my grandfathers name was Pedro Merced originally from puerto rico (not sure which part)and move to new york were he passed in 1994. My dads name is phillip Merced. do any of these name ring a bell?

I have pictures of my mother with some Eppersons in Tracy, CA. The pictures were probably taken in the 1970's. My mother was the daughter of a Maude Epperson that had a twin named Claude born in 1883 in Arkansas. She was always looking for her Epperson relatives. She would look in phone directories as she and my Dad traveled. Somehow she found this couple in Tracy, CA. I don't know how they are related. How can I contact you?

In 1936, Dennis Hail was born ini Merced, California. His wife's name was Jan. One of his sons was Bryan Hail and the other was Steven Hail. The father of Dennis Hale was E.E."Brownie" Hail of Le Grand. I have information about the first Hail to come to California from Missouri in the 1840's and would like to fiind out if they any more info about our ancestors. I am also a Merced.Coincidentally my dads name was Juan Merced.He also had a son whom died in N.Y.As far as I know I am his only living child.His family was from Caguas.He has a living sister named Norma.As far as any of the elders are concerned I know he had an older sister that went by cheni.Any information would be greatly appreciated

My Great uncle Claude Epperson lived many years in Tracy Ca. His sister Estella also lived there until her death. They both were born in Bradley County Tn. the children of James Epperson. Estella Epperson married Theodore R. Large but I believe they were divorced after one child ,Theodore Jr. She was known as aunt Stella and I am sure remarried and had a family. I have lost the family papers with the information. Would very much like to have contact with any and all members of her family. My mother was an Epperson and a niece of Estellas.

I'm also looking for a grandma that I have never meet. Her name was Damiana Merced and she had a son Pablo Vasquez Merced. She left him as a little kid and then again looked him up when he was in the army. Well of course my father didn't want to see her. But i'm very interested in finding my grand mother. His father died in the late 1960's and his name was Pablo Merced. Any info please let me know or e-mail me. I'm interested to know if there was any family members that i might have.

Hi Migdalia. My dads family were from Caguas. My grandads name is Jose Merced-Reyes and my grandmothers name is Andrea Martys-Rivera. I've been told that in the early 1900 the family moved to the big Capital of San Juan, leaving all their belongings behind. My great grandad worked with the railroad in P.R. My dads name is Jose Merced-Martys, born in New York. Aunts are Julia Rita, Andreita, uncle Jesus (Chuco) and Paulino.

I would appreciate any info you have to share.

My grandfather's name was Jose Merced Reyes and as far as I know he came from Caguas. His wifes' name was Andrea Martys Rivera. I don't know were she came from. My dads name is Jose Merced-Martys. My grandads nickname was (Cambucho). My aunts name are Julia Rita, Andrea, and my uncle Jesus (Chuco) and Paulino. Just let me know if you have any info at all.

Daisy is shown to have died 15 Dec 1990 at Modesto, CA.
