I am looking for the ancestry of Jean (John) Baptiste Mercier (spouse: Rose DeMars, m. Detroit1857), born Chatham,Ont (father:Jean Baptiste Mercier,mother:?Flavie Jacques). Jean Baptiste Mercier had 13 children with Rose, half of the kids stayed in Detroit when the parents John & Rose moved to Minn. Some of the children are: (not necess. in this order)Emma R. Yes, a lot of information, but I can't find a soul, except their headstones here in Mpls & John & Rose's marriage certificate from Detroit (they were married at St. Anne's Cath Church). Rose (born Detroit, 1839/42) was the daughter of Antoine (Anthony) DeMars (b.France) & Marie Rose Nolet. (Marie Rose's brother was Toussaint Nollet, from the Detroit area.)
