Looking for the parents of Jasper Newton Merideth. He was born on July 27, 1845 in Greene County, AR and died on August 7, 1936 Greene County, AR. His parents maybe from TN. He was at age 12 living with a W.D. Reynolds and his younger brother Joshua age 8 in the 1860 Census. He married Sarah Unknown, who died of a gunshot wound. He married Orlena M. Freeman daughter of Presley Freeman and Nancy Lynch. His third wife was A. C. Flats.

Laura and Herman Merideth had 11 children.Names were Neomie, H.N. ,Lena, James, Perry and Jerry twins,perry died as a infant,Jeanie, Darlene, Shirley, Donnie, Jackie. Laura died 8-27-1983 in Ill. Neomie had 1 daughter,Marylin.Lena had 5 children . H.N. ?, James had 5 by one wife and severial by others. Jerry (turk) had 1 son by me,and 4 more by 2sd.wife,Jeanie had 4 daughters, Darlene had 1 and maybe more,Shirley had 3, and I don't know about the rest. Turk is still living in Colorado. He is 75yrs. Jerry Loyd Merideth and I were married in East Alton, Ill. Oct 24,1951. We had one son Jerry L.Jr. borned May 30,1953.Jerry Jr. has 4 girls tammy, Jeanie,Lisa and Kelly. He has been married 3 times. Has 4grandsons and 2 granddaughters. My name was Mary E. Monroe .I was 14 at the time. Lena lived with her family across from us. Then the rest of the family came to stay for awhile. Laura still had 3 childrento raise and your ggrandfather was dead. They were a nice family. Turk is Jerry's fathers nickname. We live in Charlotte, Mi. I am Darlene Merideth(Davidson) youngest daughter. She had 3 children Linda,me George Jr (died after birth). My parnets lived in Alton, Ill when Linda was born and lived in East Prairie,Mo when me and my brother was born. She lives in pekin,Ill and so does most of here siblings except Turk and Lena.
I have 2 girls and I have 6 grandkids 3 stepboys and 3 girls.

Thanks for the return message. Tell your uncle donnie hello. I have a picture of him and Jackie sitting on a porch rail in woodriver when he was about 12 or so. I remember this family well. They were a close family. Truk was a good man and brother to them. I left because my parents wouldn't leave us alone and I couldn't handle it. Being adopted I just didn"t belong with them. Truk tried to get back to me later but he and wilma had 4 kids and that was that. Alot of regets. I have been married to my to my present husband for 46 yrs. And have a large family. Jerry L. Jr. lives in Holt Mi. with his wife lorie. He is in the phone book if you have a need to get in touch with him. All of Jerry Jr. kids are grown and there are 2 girls in ill. One in Wisconsin with 2 kids. One here in Charlotte, Mi. with 2 kids and another due in april.
