Funeral of Mrs. John T. Shayne
The funeral of Mrs. John T. Shayne was held yesterday afternoon at the family residence, No. 3856 Lake avenue, the interment being at Oakwoods Cemetery. The services were conducted by Rev. Willard Scott of South Congregational Church, assisted by Rev. L. A. Crandall of the Memorial Baptist Church. “Oh, Depth of Mercy, Can It Be?” a favorite hymn of the deceased, was rendered by a quartet, consisting of Mrs. H. H. Hammond, Miss Miriam T. Hair, Mr. Robert C. Mead, and Mr. William F. Cornell. Appropriate selections from the scripture were read by Rev. Dr. Scott. The quartet then chanted “Jesus Lover of My Soul,” after which Dr. Crandall delivered a brief address.
