Page -- On the 14th of April 1867, at the residence of her husband, in the county of Albemarle, Anne Kinloch Page, wife of Frederick W. Page, and daughter of the late Dr. Thomas W. Meriwether, in the 37th year of her age.

Few have more to make life sweet - husband, children, home, friends and all the world holds dear - none ever more truly said "I cheerfully give them all up to be with my Savior."

An earnest Christian from early youth, fulfilling with exemplary piety the duties of a daughter, wife, mother, friend, in her last moments she simply clung to the Cross of Christ, "upheld by His righteous, omnipotent hand."

The sympathies of kind neighbors during an illness of nearly four months, and the sorrowing hearts of numerous friends assembled to commit her to rest, attested the hold she had upon their affections.

"So He giveth His beloved sleep."
