Dr. H. Clay Meriwether, who died yesterday at the residence of Eben Milton on Floyd street, was a well-known citizen and a most estimable gentleman. During the war he was a gallant Confederate soldier, and in both military and civil life won and deserved the high regard of a large circle of friends.
