Surnames: Bartel, Merkel, Merckel
John Merkel and Elizabeth Bartel were married before Aug
thirty one eighteen hundred and twenty seven in possibly
Lancaster PA. Lancaster is where Elizabeth was from. I found
a John and Elizabeth Merkel in Weisenberg Twp., Lehigh PA that
survived until the eighteen eighty's. I don't know if this is
the right couple or not. Can anyone help me?
