Hi,

My maiden name is Merrigan. I can trace my family back to the mid-1800's in the US (Boston); seems that they emigrated from Ireland around that timeframe.

My search ends with an Edward and Hannah Merrigan. . .they are listed in the 1870 census as coming from Ireland. . .I do not know which county.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. . .this is my first attempt to trace my roots.
