LONE TREE, Iowa - Beulah Yakish Stych, 83, died Sunday, Feb. 20, 2000, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City after a short illness. Services will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lone Tree. The Revs. Benedict Okonkwo and Clifford Egert and Parish Life Coordinator Carol Kaalberg will officiate. Burial will be at the Lone Tree Cemetery. Visitation will be with a prayer service at the Sorden Funeral Home in Lone Tree. Mrs. Stych was born Oct. 24, 1916, in Nichols, the daughter of Will and Lola Metcalf Oostendorp. She married Harold Yakish on Aug. 30, 1935, he died May 8, 1971. She married George Stych May 10, 1979. He died Nov. 27, 1981. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lone Tree, Alter and Rosary Society and the Red Carpet Club. Survivors include three sons, Jim Yakish of Austin, Texas, Rick Yakish of Westminister, Colo. and Mike Yakish of Iowa City; two daughters, Annette Clevenger of Davenport and Deanna Krueger of Lone Tree; 22 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Lindle of McCausland; a brother, Bernard Oostendorp of Nichols; several step children and several step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sons, and a sister.
