I am a direct descendant of Mary Metts, eldest daughter of Redding Metts. I am amazed at the number of times, I am finding descendants of Redding listing "Mary Metts" eldest daughter of Redding; married to Jesse Langford, on their family web sites and family home pages. Mary Metts eldest daughter of Redding Metts was married to James A. Carver, NOT Jesse Langford. The Metts daughter who was married to Jesse Langford was "Nancy"! Mary b. 1818 GA and her sister Martha b. 1823 GA; married James A. and John Carver who were brothers. James A. Carver and Mary Metts, married August 9, 1844 in Telfair co., GA and had seven children. I hope the descendants who are making this mistake will take the time to go back and correct it. Thank You.
