I'm looking for information related to a John F. Meyer (Johann Friedrich)who lived in California in 1866, was in Nebraska 1870-1876 and returned to California in 1876. Spouse's name was Henrietta. She died in 1874. I do not know birth date or any info regarding emigration from Prussia to U.S. Children were Herman and Anna born in CA and Ettie born in NE in 1874. His naturalization papers from 1876 include disclaiming allegiance to King of Prussia, but no info about age or heritage. Would appreciate any clues as to further searches for such a common name.
