Billie Middlebrook Stinebaugh died February 8, 2003, at the age of 96. She moved to Mosquero, New Mexico, in 1928 where she taught at the Mosquero High School for over 40 years, and the last few years was principal for Mosquero Schools. She earned her BAA. degree at the College of Industrial Arts (now Texas Women's University) in Denton, Texas, in 1928 and her MAA. at Highlands University in Las Vegas, New Mexico, in 1954. She is survived by her daughter, Jody Swann of Flagstaff, Arizona; and son, Bill Stinebaugh of Mosquero, New Mexico. She had four grandchildren, Senesa Stinebaugh of Los Lunas, Christopher Loman of Seattle, Susan Naze, and Steven DeGeere; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde in 1973 and her daughter Patsy, in 1995. She had been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for more than 50 years, and served as Worthy Matron of Mizpah Chapter 47 in Roy, New Mexico.
