Gov Thomas Mifflin, Catherine Livingston, and Susannah Mifflin?

Hello,

I have what one would call an "issue", and I could use some serious help!

I am a descendant of Henry Reighley, son of Matthew Reighley and Susannah Mifflin.

Henry's daughter Jennie (I have also seen her called Jane)Reighley Steen was my ggggrandmother.

I have searched and searched and came up with Thomas Mifflin as Susannah Mifflin's father, and Catherine E Livingston as Susannah's mother.

I know Thomas Mifflin was married to Sarah Morris. It is my understanding that he had at least one(likely more) child out of wedlock. Susannah is supposedly one of them.

However, on some of the family trees I have looked at, Susannah Mifflin's mother is a Mary McLanahan, father still Thomas Mifflin, but possibly another Thomas Mifflin.

I find a Catherine Livingston married to a Peter Close, but no daughter named Susannah mentioned. This raises another question... What was Susannah's legal maiden name? Mifflin? Livingston? Close? I have only ever seen it on other family trees as Mifflin.

Everytime I am sure I have the correct Susannah Mifflin, it seems I don't. Everytime it seems I have the correct Catherine Livingston, it then seems I'm wrong.

I wish I knew something I was certain of, but as of now, my genealogy for this branch is all 'soft copy' or 'rough draft'.

So far as I can tell, it does seem like Susannah's name was Mifflin and that her parents were Thomas Mifflin and Catherine Livingston. I feel almost certain, ALMOST, that Catherine is the daughter of Henry Livingston and Susannah Storm of NY. Of course I am nearly as unsure of all of this as I am sure of it. I can get little to no actual sources from historical or vital records. Much of what I am basing this off of is various websites of Livingston, Mifflin, Crissman, or Reighley family trees.

Any info would be appreciated. I will gladly share what I have, even my 'rough draft' Reighley/Mifflin/Livingston lineage.

Thanks.
