I wonder if James had a brother David b 1776 Monikie who married Margaret Dewar 124.02.1807 Monikie. I believe their son David b 11.05.1807 Seggie Well, Monikie was my husbands gt x 3 grandfather drowned at sea 1837. At this stage and looking at the head stones in Dundee the family surname was changed from Mill to Milne. I also suspect David had a sister Marjory Mill b1809 who married William Strachan in Monifieth 13.01.1839
