I'm just doing some research on my mums side, and realized that Mill and Meil are fairly similar (meil is evidently my mums maiden name). So I was wondering if any Mill's might know of any such connection. Meil is fairly uncommon, though there are still quite a few out there, Thanks for your help

Dave Sprunt

I am looking for any information about my grandfather. He was born in Germany, I don't know the date. His father had the same name. I know they were in south east Kansas as that is where my grandparents were married. He left in 1927 and nobody (including his father) ever had contact with him. I'm also not sure that this is his birth name as the story goes they got out of Germany illegally and changed the name. It also could be Karl or it could be Mills as different of my mothers siblings have their names spelled Mill or Mills. There is also a story that the name at birth was Mueller.
