Surnames: Miller

My name is Chris de France. I had family in Lancaster around Pequea. The start of my family was John Henry De France in Pequea about 1740. His two son's and his brother in law's all fought in the revolution. Sons were John and James, brother in laws were Captain Hawkins Boone and General Daniel Morgan.

I am very much interested in anything that I can find on Simon Miller of Hamburg or Mathias Miller of Easton. Both gentlemen were excellent gunsmiths and I believe that they were related. Anything about the gunsmiths and or the gunshops I am very interested in. My search is for the rifles that my family used as riflemen during the Revolution. I am a member of the American Longrifle Forum. I would really like to reconstruct a rifle that one the five family had.

Thank you so much for your assistance, and I am sincere in my interest into your family. I have found six of the rifles that are signed and attributed to Simon. I would be happy to send this to you, if you are interested.

Chris de France, PLS. Land Surveyor
