MILLER's Holbeton, Devon, ENG

I would like it if the Ancestry Public Tree Members; Yabsley 2009, Williams Family Tree and Carter Family Tree would contact me. I don't have access to that part of Ancestry and I think we are climbing the same family tree. :-)

Thomas MILLER and Mary Ann MAY are my third great grandparents and I was just curious as to how you are related.

Actually, I would love to hear from any one researching this family or other MILLER's in Holbeton area as it is a small parish and we could very likely have a connection. Thanks.

Genealogically yours,
Alison

Looking for parents of the Nancy MILLER who married Morris LINDSEY 1824 Tuscaloosa, AL. As a married couple, they lived in Perry & Sumter Cos, AL by 1840s in Laud Co, MS. They had a dau Nancy & a son, Delphin "Dock" Lindsey (lived MS). We think the name Delphin/Dolphin is a Lindsey name- poss belonging to Butts Co GA Lindseys (?). Names linked to Morris & Nancy Lindsey are DOTY, ADAIR, poss ROGERS, HARDY, MILLS, & FARMER.

Who could she belong to???

1850 Walker Co, TX census has her born SC 1790 as wife of "Maurice Linsey."

Paula in MS

Re: Col. Silas Miller, of Aurora (Kane Co.) IL, 36th IL in Civil War, broother of Holmes Miller, b. NY

hello marge rice. my name is jeff perez, I am a ranger with the kane county forest preserve district. I am stationed at the buffalo park in algonquin illinois. I have been interested in the civil war for about 5 years now. Have been researching everything that there is to know about the young colonel silas miller and his regiment the famous 36th Illinois Volunteer Infantry Regiment, from aurora's Camp Hammond. Have much information pertaing to The Fox River Regiment. Not much is written about the family. I to have been looking for descendants of col. miller and his family. I have sent information back to the historian of the town of ulysess new york in the county of tompkins, to see if they would be able to locate any information on the family and their ancestors before they moved to aurora illinois. I do know that someone has flowers sent to the col.s monument every summer. I make a point to stop by every time I go to visit my family in aurora and my daughters who live in boulder hill. I hope to one day accidently run into a descendant of the miller family? visiting. If you need any information please don't hesitate to respond. My web address is perezjeff@kaneforest.com or call my cell 630-649-1142. Look forward to hearing from you. jeff

1885 to 1891 Millers in Arkansas or Tennessee

I am looking for information on my Great Grandfather b1885 as John A Stice. Family legend has his father (unknown) being killed in around 1890-91 by a posse at a train station in Arkansas. He was then taken in by a faily named Miller, and took there name to become John A Miller. He married Beattrice (Gibson)Gipson in 1910. In the 1910 census of Hampton Township page 4b. he states he and his father born in Tennessee. Does anyone have information that may match this family legend? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Contact me for a little more info, I have.
Re: Millers of WV (originally VA)

I found a whole string of Millers on the Armstrong family tree on ancestry.com. That tree intersects with the first Miller generation (John Miller and Mary Pierson) cited here. It also shows Hester Conkling, not Mary Conkling as wife of George Miller in the next generation--still, pretty close, and the b. dates jive. However nothing in the Armstrong tree as far as I can tell is attributed. So I am wondering if anyone has a way to cite the sources for these entries. I'd love to follow up on Millers from East Hampton NY -- my ancestor Daniel and his wife Elizabeth moved from there to Greenville NY.

Hello to all you relatives in any case.

Carl Miller

Dear Norma J Miller

This is Rev. George Fernandes from Bangalore, India.

I was brought up in a very small and poor family in India. In the year 1987 and 1988 a sponsor named Norma J Miller used to support my studies. While I am studying in 9th Grade, I had lost communications with her and it is 20 years by now. Now I am married taking care of orphans, semi-orphans children in India. I am also Pastoring a church. I am searching for my Sponsor to mention that I am blessed, I miss her and I wanted to see her. I am attaching her picture which she sent to me that time. If you are please let me know or if you know her please guide.

Yours in His Mission

Rev.
Re: Floyd Miller

Raymond, I'm not sure the Floyd Miller you are writing about is the Floyd Miller I am looking for; but since you also have written about the LaMunions, and I'm related to them too, I thought it was worth a try.

My great, great grandparents were James B. & Margery (King) LaMunion. Their 4th child, Lucy K. LaMunion married John Henry Miller. Lucy and John had 9 children; their 7th child was my mother Alice Miller Ritter. Their 1st child was George James b Aug 20 1897 and Jan 3 1923 he married Bernice Bunker b March 23 1907. George and Bernice Miller had 2 children, the 1st was Floyd b Jan 26 1914.

Is the Floyd you said moved to Alaska after he moved from North Dakota ... and the Floyd that was told he had cancer of the brain the same as my cousin Floyd. I know for a while he lived in the Northwest, actually in Springfield, Oregon. My parents visited him there in 1976.
