I have to tell you I stand corrected. After reviewing my tree with my cousin something didn't look right about Tobitha. The ages were wrong for her with her parents whom we thought were Henry and Mary Ann and the record kept saying Tabitha A and we know Tobitha is Tobitha Jane... SO, we did some digging and in 1860 we find just as rumors had it Tobitha, relationship not noted because it was 1860 but assumeably mother Margaret Hester living in the same houseshold as Joseph Aycock, a school teacher, as domestic help!! Margaret was in the middle of a long 8 year divorce from the records I'm reading from Stephen B Hester. She was taken taken into court for charges of adultry with Joseph Aycock whom she began livin with. In 1870 Tobitha is living with Peggy Hester. SO It looks like the rumors about Tobitha being an Aycock are correct, and as I unravel this mystery I will post my findings. :) I am not sure if Peggy is the same person as Margaret, I believe they are the same person because they years Peggy is on a census Margaret isn't. and vice versa.
