I am decendant of Thomas Mims, Brother of Samuel and David Mims of Fort Mims.

I have read pretty much everywhere that Samuel Mims was a "Half-breed" or an "Indian". Is this true? Can anyone find evidence to support or disprove?

I have read in other notes that his mother was Surnamed Woodson, and none of these notes have featured evidence to support a marriage between Samuel's father Benjamin Mims and Judith Woodson.

If multiple historical documents and accounts of the Fort Mims massacre say that Samuel Mims is indeed of Indian Blood, I am inclined to think it must be true - but would like the proof to back it up if anyone has it. Heck, even a picture of the guy would help me in this quest.
