Hello, I have been hitting my head and Maria's trying to find LORENZO DOW MINEARS parents. I do know that he was born 1854 in Wapello County, IA. He and his two wives had land there and in Davis County. His first wife was MaryEtta Fleming, born 1861 in Iowa and died 1887 in Bloomfield, IA. They were married 1875. Of this union there were 5 children:

Emma, 1878, died 1882 and is buried near Maryetta in the Hopewell Baptist Cemetery.
Maude B, 1881, married a ? Martin and lived in Greentop, MO.
George H., 1882
Jenetta Rose, born 1884 in Belknap, and died in Jacksonville FL, 1929
Clara, born 1886, married a man named Zeke. She died in AR
Lorenzo then married a Martha E. Hammon/Hammond in 1888. They moved to AK where they had 5 children:
Glen, 1896
Paul, 1897
Eva, 1905
Ernest, 1907
LORENZO MINEAR died in a small town near Pawhuska, OK in 1910 and is buried in Coffeyville Ks. His second wife is buried there also along with some others in a family plot.
This is all that I know for sure.
Folklore has said that his folks were from VA now W.VA and Uncle Ernie mentioned the name Samuel or Lemuel linked to a Nixon. That is my puzzle, HELP!!!!!
