I have been researching my mother's ancestry. She has not been able to tell me much, but says she recalls her grandmother's name was Mingo and that her great grandmother may have been a de de Maine. Mom has told me that her mother was one of thirteen children living in the French Quarter of Sioux City Iowa in the 1920s. I understand that many Mingo's still live there and that Aunt Sue was the official Sioux City Sue.
