I have seen some references to the Mink family being of Native American ancestry, but my research seems to all point to Germany as the starting point of the family.

The Cheorkee myth does run in our branch as well but it is a story that has been passed down by word-of-mouth and no acutal fact. But according the the myth an Indian woman married into the Mink clan.

Does anyone have any hard facts to the Native American claim?
