I believe Elvie W Minns, born about 1862, Elmsett Suffolk to be my great-great-grandfather. I also believe he might be the same person on record as Eli W Minns, born about 1863, Elsmett Suffolk. Does anyone have any information on him or his relatives, parents etc? Thank you.

I'm searching for an unknown male Minns who would have lived in Buffalo in 1936. He would have been born sometime around 1900-1907. His wife was my relation, Neva Odell. They were married sometime after 1930 but before 1936. In her father's obituary in 1936, Neva is listed as Neva Minns in Buffalo.

Ann Minns was born about 1829. In Sep 1853 she married a William DYE in Norwich. They had seven children: Ann DYE, George DYE, Emma DYE (ca 1861), Charles DYE (ca 1863), Alice DYE (ca 1865), Florence or Pleasance DYE (ca 1867), and Samuel DYE 19 Dec 1869-1947). Samuel is listed as being born in West Wymer, Norwich, Norfolk, Engand. I have Samuel's birth certificate. Any help would be greatly needed. Looking for Ann MINNS' birth parents. She had lived with the DYE family before being married to William.

I believe that my Henry Minns was born in Leytonstone, East London, in 1838, but I can't find the birth certificate on FreeBMD. I have been told his parents may be Richard Minns and his wife Elizabeth in the London area during the 1851 census, perhaps a greengrocer. Any info anyone?

Hi There was a message posted by a Steven Barrow whose Great Grandmother was Caroline Minns born 1851 and whose father was the above gentleman. My Great Great Grandfather was Charles Minns born 1818 and he was brother to John Minns (1816). Just wondered if you had any information on Charles and John's parents who were John Minns and Lois Dyer. John Minns was born around 1757 I assume in Norfolk and married Lois in April 1799 at Ilketshall, Suffolk. He died in 1841 and she died in 1860 something I do have their marriage certificate and death certificates but I cannot trace John's birth or who his parents were. I know Lois's parents were Daniel Dyer and Ann Turner. If you have any information I would be most grateful and if you would like what I have on the various other branches of the same family I would be only too glad to let you have it. I think Ydella Dulcetta is still waiting for my complete tree though I have let her have my direct line.

Married Rachel Copping in Tottenham in 1883.
Nothing found of them after 1891. Did they emigrate? Did they have any children?

Hi folks, I am researching the Br. Guiana Minns line. I am having trouble finding links from Norfolk to Guiana which is where my wifes family supposedly originates, if anyone has list or names from this family I would love to hear from you. The only info I have to go on right now is Charles Frederick Minns who married Gladys Edith Bly(e) who had eight children. Charles supposedly died sometime in 1940's or 50's.
I cannot tell whether he was born in Guiana or moved there.

I am searching for information about ROBERT MINNS b1799 Norwich. On the 1851 census is living at Coslany Street, Norwich with his family JAMES b1833: SOPHIA b1835: JOSIAH b1837; WILLIAM b1841. Sophia is my g.g.grandmother & married WILLIAM BANHAM in 1853. At that time they were living in Half Moon Yard, Norwich. JOHN & MARY COOK were their witnesses. William & Sophia later moved to Lancashire & had a large family.

Looking for information related to Albert 'Bert' Minns (d. 1968) and Millicent 'Millie' (Carey) Minns (d. 1986?) from Nassau.

Bert was the son of Samuel Minns and Ida Depuch. Samuel Minns can be traced back to John Minns (b. 27-10-1771 Reading Berkshire England; d. 4-9-1830 Nassau Bahamas)

Any info prior to that would be most helpful. Also, how best to find dates on births/deaths/marriage of relatives in the Bahamas/England?

Amy Annie MINNS was my Grandmother. She married my Grandfather, Herbert Drew and travelled to South Africa where she died in Pretoria in March of 1917 while giving birth to my father, Frank. Family history says that Amy and Herbert also had another child, a female, older than my father, who travelled with them to South Africa

I am interested in any information at all about any member of this family. I would especially be interested in information leading to the recovery of a marriage certificate for Amy and Herbert, or the recovery of the identity of their older daughter.

My father William Minns was born in Fleetwood Lancs. Feb 1918.

Came here to Dundee Scotland during the war, married then settled here after the war.

I am trying to trace family descendants (England Australia USA) of a Walter Minns of Lowestoft who arrived in England from Victoria, Australia, on ship Kent on Friday 31 August 1866. No date of birth but he would probably have been born about 1839. He shared a cabin with a Mr Denman Mason of Crich Derbyshire, Eng.

Walter Minns was expected to return to Australia in October 1867 by the ship Great Britain.

My reason for contact is I am trying to piece together the journeys/sailings of Denman Mason.

Any help will be warmly received and I will be pleased to share information.
