My mother was born in Independence, La. on September 4, 1961. She was adopted when she was an infant by Lucinda Richards in Baton Rouge, La. The only thing that my mother knows is that her birth mother was attending college in Independence and that the birth mother's family is from Baton Rouge. At one time the birth mother wanted to contact my mother when she was young but the adoptive mother didn't say anything until years passed. The adoptive parents sang in the choir and that is all we know. If someone has any information about the Minor family in Louisiana please help. The birth records are closed; therefore I do not have any first names. Any information would be of great assistance.
