There are some nice folks who walk the grave yards and photograph the headstones for posterity. This person has taken hundreds of photos. Sometimes it is nice to have when a family doesn't live close to visit and they will have a photo of the final resting place.
Susan

Based on my research, I believe ...

John S Thompson [M] (b. 1817 Dec 20 d. 1870 Apr 28) married on 1842 Mar 08 to Mary Ann Minton [F] (b. 1818 Aug 06 d. 1853 Mar 09). I've not found any records of children from this marriage. After Mary Ann's death, John married on 1854 May 04 to Sarah Ann Miller [F] (b. 1820 Nov 17 d. 1867 Aug 02). Children I have found from this marriage are:

Mary Frances Thompson [F] b. 1856 Feb 29 d. 1915 Jan 02
James H Thompson [M] b. 1857 Sep 16 d. 1907 May 13
Martha Caroline "Mattie" Thompson [F] b. 1859 Apr 02 d. 1937 Jun 17
Sarah Ann "Sadie" Thompson [F] b. 1860 Aug 20 d. 1949 Mar 29
Margaret Jane "Maggie" Thompson [F] b. 1862 Jan 01 d. 1958
Cynthia J S Thompson [F] b. 1863 Aug 10 d. 1864 Jul 29
Louisa Charlotta "Lula" Thompson [F] b. 1866 Jan 04 d. 1952 Apr 15

Martha Caroline "Mattie" Thompson married on 1881 Mar 17 to William Hugh Minton [M] (b. 1854 Oct 10 d. 1933 Apr 29). Children I have found from this marriage are:

Infant Son Minton [M] b. 1882 Jan 12 d. 1882 Jan 12
Infant Son Minton [M] b. 1883 Aug 10 d. 1883 Aug 10
James Harry Minton [M] b. 1885 Aug 11 d. 1971 Nov 15
Mae Minton [F] b. 1888 Feb 29 d. 1970 Nov
Sissie Minton [F] b. 1890 Aug 06 d. 1893 May 26
Infant Son Minton [M] b. 1892 Sep 09 d. 1892 Sep 16
Marie Minton [F] b. 1893 Nov 01 d. 1896 Feb 19
William Hugh Jr Minton [M] b. 1897 Jan 31 d. 1934 Jan 16

Rick

Based on my research, I believe ...

Parents of Willis C Minton [M] (b. 1800 Sep 21 d. 1869 Jul 31) are Jesse Minton [M] (b. 1778 d. 1849 Apr 30) and Martha Patsy ????
Yes, I would like more information. I don't have any information on children for Mary A. and John Thompson. I do have Martha and William as having 4 children, one died at birth, but I don't know if it was a boy or girl. I did have a chance to go to Cape Girardeau about 3 summers ago and we went to the Thompson Cemetery and found the Minton Cemetery, and I got some grave pictures.

I am descendent of this line of Mintons. A.B. Minton and his wife Rebeca went to Texas. I have information on some of their descendents if anyone needs it.
Dewey Meeks
Deweyme@bellsouth.net

I am in search of information about Sarah Katherine Lambert who married William S. Minton, I believe in Wilkes Co NC. I believe they married on The 25 of dec 1924 in Ashe co. NC. Sarah died june of 1946. I need more information about these people. Sarah was my great grandfather's sister and I am hoping to run her line in order to possible find information on their parents.

Thanks.

1880 census has what appears to be John's younger brother George W Houk married with Susan's younger sister Davie Jane. She may have died in that asiatic flu pandemic 1890 also, or before; 1900 John has a different wife.
