Michael, my name is Timothy John Misch. And just like you i have been tracing where our last name came from. Me and my family bieng the only Misch's in the Phillippines ( now there is none for we moved to the USA ) we always questioned my father about our last name. and he says that my grand father Fellippe Misch is the son of Harry Misch who migrated to new york from germany. In one of my great grandfathers things is a letter from his father who's name is Michael Habsburg. though it all does not make sense but hopefully someday we all would get some much more clearer ancestry report.
