Frank is pictured in the yearbook of the 42X class of the 734th Basic Training Flying Squadron at Randolph Field, Texas. He is a flight cadet. I'm not kin but thought this might help someone researching the family.

My grandfather was Franz Mlekusch originally from Morobitz, Gottschee(now Slovenia), married Albina Mlekusch in 1929. 3 children, Frieda, John(my father) and Gertrude. Immigrated to New York in the 1950's.

I should mention to my previous message that my grndparents, Franz and Albina Mlekusch and children were relocated during World War 2 from Morobitz Gottschee (now Kocevje Slovenia) to Karnten (near Villach I believe) Austria.

I just want to update this message from earlier:
My grandfather:Franz Mlekusch (born 1899 Morobitz, Gottschee)
Married Albina Mlekusch (born 1909 maiden name Hoefferle)
in 1929.
3 children:Frieda, Johan, Gertrude.
Relocated to Villach, Austria during World War 2.
Immigrated to New York City during the 1950's.

(Gottschee is now Kocevje,Slovenia)

I am researching the Andreas and Anna Mlekusch/Mlekus family who lived in the Soca area. They were the parents of seven known sons. At least four of the sons immigrated to the USA in the late 1800s to the early 1900s.

Hello Jan,
there must have been two lines in Bleiberg/Carinthia/Austria. My father, my grandfather and the father of my grandfather had all the name Florian, their ancestries came from Flitsch/Slovenia. Do you have any information??

Mlekush/ Van Daele

I bought this little card probably from a funeral. It has In loving remeberance of Austa Van Daele. Wife of Anton Mlekush. It has dates of birth and death. On the back it states she was saying fareweell to her husband , Children, Family and Friends. I was prompted to buy it for .25 in the 1970 at a sale. I will send a copy if you think it will help. She was born in Pitthem, W. VI, Belgium in 1884 and died in Moline,ILL in 1939. The best find is it has her picture on it which is well preserved and very nice photo. I am looking for any information on Nils Peter Spangberg born Feb.15,1852 in Skatelov parish, Smaland, Sweden. He was my Great Grandfather. His son, John Edman Spangberg, born Oct. 26, 1889 in Town of Lincoln Park, Wisconsin was my Grandfather.
