Our Goodrich lines shows Giles Goodrich, Jr., b. 1777 d. 1829 married Modena -- no further information. They may have lived in Connecticut (possibly Middlesex). They had a son, Philo Goodrich, b. 1812. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to trace the history of the Modena Family. and where they came from I got your message on trying to locate the name Modein.This is the way that I spell Modena but some spell it Modern, and their are other ways that people spell it. If you have any information on the Modena History I will appreciated it if you will send it to me. I'm trying to find out where my Grandfather came from. some said that he didn't lived in Tennessee. His name was Frederick E. Modena if this can be of help to you.

Hello! I am trying to locate the name Modein? It appears to be this on a marriage certificate I have. Could be Modern. William M. Hagerty married Marie or Mary (Josephine) Modein in Devil's Lake ND in 1906-07. She was from Badger MN. Need help to solve this mystery. Wonder if this name could be derived from Modena. Came across Martha A. Modena's marriage record. She and Andrew J. were married on Dec 19, 1856 in Albemarle Co., VA. Believe the source was on film #1260660 in the Family History Library (LDS genealogical society) If you aren't in an area with these libraries, check with your local library for an inter-library loan. Also, check the www.familysearch.org site. There were several Modena's from VA. Since the males are easier to track, try 'Frances Modena'. Didn't find what I was looking for,
but hopefully this helps you.
