James Douglas Moffat, b.@1779ish, Scotland, d.1856, Fenlon Falls, Ontario, Canada. His wife was Margaret Laidlaw b. April 06, 1779, Gateshaw Associate Session, Morebattle, Roxburgh, Scotland.
I have found three children so far,
Euphemia Moffat b. February 02, 1806, Nisbit, Roxburghshire,Scotland.
Janet Moffat b. November 15, 1800
John Moffat b. May 05, 1802.
In my family the Moffats married the Douglas, and they all migrated to Ontario, Canada, and then some went west across the prairies.
