Classification: Query
Surnames: Moffitt Moffett
I can trace my family back to James(1797-1894) and Fanny (Graham) (1807-1863)Moffett of County Tyrone.
They had 8 children: William, Andrew, Thomas, John, John(infant), Mary Jane, Margaret and Susannah.
William (1843-1917)changed the spelling to Moffitt, married Eliza Jane(aka Elizabeth) McLaurin and was the father of : Andrew James, Francis, Charlotte, Thomas and William Hugh. Andrew, Thomas and William Hugh (Hughie) emigrated to Iowa in 1921.
Andrew James Moffitt was my grandfather. We cannot trace back any further than James and Fanny. Any information on any of the above would be appreciated! Thanks,
