Mrs Clara A Moffit, native of Washington County and former resident of Winchester, IND, died at Washington Hospital, Sunday, May 6, 1951 at 10:30 PM. She has been seriously ill for the past two weeks.
Mrs Moffit spent much of her life in Indiana state, and came to Washington about four weeks ago and had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs Walter Roberts, of Wolfdale, Washington RD 5,, PA
She was born in East Finley Township, Jan. 27, 1882, a daughter of Leonard and Lousia Hixenbaugh Plants. She was married to AmbroseT Moffit, of Union City, IND, who died in 1939. She was a member of the Nazarene Church of Union City, IND.
Two daughters and a son survive, Illa, wife of Walter Roberts of Wolfdale; Anna (Nina), wife of Oakley Farabee, Lincoln Heights,PA and John A, of Houston, TX. She leaves a brother Daniel Curtis Plants, Lincoln Heights,PA five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Service held at Robert C Gordon Funeral Home, Washington, PA
Burial will be in Winchester, IND
