Elizabeth (Mohler) Howser married my wife's G-Grandfather, John William Howser. Henry Mohler, Jr. is buried in the Coyler Cemetery in the southern part of Douglas County, KS; the cemetery is one-half mile west of the home which Henry Mohler, Jr. built; it stands to this day.

I am trying to locate a copy of the Mohler Family History (not sure if this is the correct title) that covers the Mohler Family of Maryland, especially the descendants of Charles William Mohler and Mary or Martha Elizabeth Kennerly through their son Charles Luther Mohler b. 1864 in Dorchester Co., MD.

WILLIAM L. WRIGHT, a farmer residing on section 29, in the town of Porter, is numbered among the early settlers of the county who shared in the trials and privations of pioneer days. He was born April 22, 1809, in Livingston County, N.Y., and is a son of William and Mary (BULLARD) WRIGHT, who were also natives of the Empire State. His father was three times married. Shortly after his first marriage his wife died leaving one child, Abigail, who is also deceased. He was a farmer by occupation, and removed to Genesee County, N.Y., where he wedded Mary BULLARD, and three children were born of their union, namely: Almira, who became the wife of Ziba BALCOLM, who resided in Indiana until her death; Mary, who died at her home in New York, and William L., the subject of this sketch. The mother of this family was called to her final rest while residing in Indiana. Demont C. Mohler was my Grandfather. He was born June 22, 1888 and died in July of 1969. His wife was Belle (Jennie or Jenny Belle) Clark. Demont was born in Athens County, Ohio. Belle was born in Noble County, Ohio. They had 5 boys. George (1915) Don (1917) William (1919) Fred (1921) and Russ (1926) The only year of birth I am absolutely sire of is my Father's (William) I have the exact dates of birth of the other boys but not right here before me.

My Uncle, Russell Mohler, had a son that he named Demont.

I am interested to know why you are searching for a Demont Mohler form Ohio. Would love to know if you are part of the family.

Mohler was originally spelled Moler. I have heard that my Grandfather changed the spelling. His father was Ezra Moler and his mother was Celestia Means.

I am looking for information on the Mohler family of Ohio. My father was born in Parkersburg West Virginia in 1919 but moved to Ohio shortly after. His father was Demont C. Mohler. He may have lived in Noble County at some time because my Grandmother owned a sting of ice cream parlors there with her first husband Will Buzzard. My father had four brothers- Fred, George, Russ, and Don. My father, my grandfather, and all of my uncles died in Muskingum County.

Thank you for your response ! We are the same family. Debbie is my cousin. Her father Russ was my Dads brother. All five of the brothers are dead now. My daughter and I have been working on the line trying to get information. We would love to see if any of the family has pictures but none of us talk anymore. My Mom is still living and is thrilled with all we have learned so far. We are putting together a genealogy book and would love just to use pictures other family members have to make copies to include in the book. When Mom was at the funeral home - Debbies brother was not very friendly with her so she is afraid to ask Debbie herself and does not want any of us to ask. It is a shame for a family that was so close. I think there is alot of misconception involved. Same family though and if you have any other information I sure would enjoy hearing about it. Maybe Debbie would let you make copies of any pictures she has. My Mom is 81 and her health is not good.
