WILTON, Iowa - Frederick W. Mohr, 84, of Wilton died on Friday, May 26, 2000,
at Unity Hospital.
Services will be at Grace United Church of Christ, Wilton. The Rev. David Hottenstein will officiate. Deb Mohr, organist, and Henry Bentley, vocalist, will present musical selections. Pallbearers will be Roger Regennitter, David Mohr, Jim Stanford, Larry Beinke, Robert Grage and Gabriel Stefan. Honorary pallbearers are Sheryl Stefan and Brenda Mohr. Interment will take place at Oakdale Cemetery, Wilton.
Visitation will be at Bentley Funeral Homes, Wilton, and on Tuesday from one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may go to Grace United Church of Christ.
Mr. Mohr was born in Muscatine County on Aug. 25, 1915, the son of John and Reaky (Bartholomew) Mohr. He married Lovell M. Regennitter on July 18, 1942, in Wilton.
He served in the Army during World War II. He farmed in Cedar County his entire life, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Wilton, where he served on the church board as an elder, deacon and Sunday school teacher. He was a former member of Muscatine Moose Lodge No. 388, where he served as junior governor. He was a 4-H leader for nine years and won numerous awards for the Ayrshire dairy cattle he raised.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Darlene McGregor and her husband, Terry, Coralville; one son, Ronald Mohr and his wife, Nancy, Wilton; one sister, Mae Regennitter, Tipton; two brothers, Henry Mohr, Tipton, and Amos Mohr and his wife, Marion, Tipton; four grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Fannie Beinke.
