6 Aug 1925, died 3 Sep 1954. His father was Joseph J. Moise born 6 Aug 1877, died 30 Nov 1957. Joseph was married to Marenatta Bell. Robert was married to Donna May Hawkins.

I am Pierre ggrandaughter and I have pictures of both brothers (Moise and Pierre), I also have Moise's brother's family tree if anyone is interested. I've been working on my family tree for a month. My great-grandfather, Nicola Moise, was born 1899 in Foggia, Italy. His father's name was Vincenzo Moise. Any relatives out there?

I am looking for any information on my g/grandfather Jefferson Moise. He married Fenilia Cooper. Their children were John, Joe, William, George, Lizzie, Amanda (that we know of). He died in New Orleans, LA (1900-1920 ???)

Looking for info on a Cora (Moise), born in Louisana. She married into the Moise family, unsure of her husband's first name (1910 census on children state he was born in South Carolina, but he is deceased) or Cora's maiden name at this time.

Children were:
Hettie b.~1881
Frederick b.~1883 and at least one other son whose name I could not read. Children were born in Louisana.

Not sure if they are in the "book" or not. Figure I would post this now so I don't forget...

I have a copy of the book. I got it by writing to "Moises" and asking if anyone knew about it, someone sent me a copy. If they are for sale anywhere, I don't know about it. Glad to look up some information for you, though.

I heard a young lady in the family was doing an update, and I wrote to her several times with no reply.

I am directly descended from Jacques Moise and Adelaide Dame. I am not at my home computer, but in any case the information is too much to put on the message board. I believe the line is Carl, Vernon, Edward, Steve, Micheal, Stephen, Jacques. I'll have to check when I get home.

Moise family in Ontario

I am looking for info on the Moise family that came from Parkham, Devon, England. The family included Grace,mother, born 1811, Joseph, son, born 1841, William, son, born 1835 and Mary Ann, daughter, born 4/14/1835.
Mary Ann had married before coming to Canada. She married William John Sanders and they residenced in Cannington, Ontario. They imigrated to Canada in or about 1872.
Joseph, Grace, and William residence in or around Port Hope, Durham, Ontario.
Any info would be nice

My grand mother was mary frances moize(feb. 6, 1890-nov. 3,1921. she lived on south lowell rd. in durham county. Her father's name was Fredrick Moize. Fanny married joseph pope on feb. 12, 1911. That's about all i know of the moize family. My grandmother was 31 when she died.

So this must be the William Moize that owned Billy Buttons Tailor Shop in Rouge Mount. I thought it might be. This is not, however, "my" Elizabeth Horner. The one I am looking for was born 1858 and her mother's name was Patsy/Martha. Interestingly, the Moize are listed as living just down from my Carringtons, though, whom "my" Betsy Horner married into.

it also shows sarah moize (45 yrs--1805)--i assume she is william h.'s mother--he is listed as a 26 yr old(1824) tailor born in nc as well

I can tell you everything you want to know about the book and the Moise family of South Carolina. In fact, I'm trying to locate all the Moise family descended from our Charleston ancestor. We have begun an annual Moise family reunion in Charleston on Father's Day weekend (June 18-20 this year), and would like to include the broader family. We have had little contact with the Louisiana branch of the family established in 1840 by Edwin Warren Moise and Theodore Sydney Moise in New Orleans, although we have an extensive family tree of that branch.

I am not a Moise from Romania. My family came to the US from France in 1791. I was aware there were Moises from Romania, and there used to be a Vlad Moise who lived in Atlanta, where I live, but I'm not sure he lives here anymore. I didn't see his name in the telephone book. I'd like to know more about the Moise family from Romania, to see if they are related to my family. What can you tell me about the Moises in Romania?

Could you tell me if any of Moise in Charleston were physicians during the early part of 1800s? I'm looking for a Dr. Mohees (that may be Moise) that was involved in a Duel probably in 1820s-30s with a Lt. Cohen and Mr. Greaves.

I am looking for information on Stephen(Toussaint) Moise/Moses. He was born abt. 1847 in Quebec. His wife's name is Marie/Mary Tremblay. I have been researching the Moise (Moyse) family as well. My wife is Donna Moise who is a descendent from John Moise (1766-1850) and Susannah (1765-1837) of Parkham Devon. John and Susannah had 5 children, 2 of which were Benjamin and William. Donna's line follows the Benjamin side and it is my belief that yours follows the William side. William married Grace Beal in 1832.

My records show Joseph and Tabitha residing on Ridout St, Port Hope, Ontario, Canada.

I have also been corresponding with Donna Field who has been researching the Linstead Family Tree http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&.... Here you will find the connection to Mary Ann Moise.

There is still an outstanding question in my mind about my Donna's connection to your William; however, I would like to correspond with you offline and together we may be able to fill in some gaps.
