Norma Jean Haas Molder, 71,
a longtime Erie resident, died on Sunday evening, September 14, 2008 at her home following an extended illness. A resident of the Erie area most of her life, she was born in Ashtabula, Ohio on July 24, 1937, a daughter of the late Richard and Margaret Graham Haas. Norma Jean had been a private duty geriatric nurse for many years and was retired. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, enjoyed gardening, music, playing the piano, and her family (especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren). Survivors include two daughters, Tammy Elliott and her husband, Donald, and Susan Zybowski and her husband, Paul, all of Erie; three sons, Richard Molder and Timothy Molder and his wife, Barbara, all of Erie, and SFC Jody Molder and his wife, Liana, stationed at Ft. Carlson, Colo.; a sister, Kathryn Kuzilla, of Erie; a brother, Robert Haas, of California; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive. Friends may call at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Rd., Erie, corner of East Gore Rd. and Pine Ave., Thursday 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and are invited to prayer services there on Friday morning at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Rosary Church at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
