My GGrandmother lived in San Diego when she passed away in 1965 Her name was Carmen Marie Monreal born 22 Feb. 1869, in Hermosillo, Sonora. She had a brother Fransisco and a sister whose name was Lolo, not sure. But that is all I know, I think I'll have to go to Hermosillo and do some research.

Michael Sullivan

Hi. I'm fairly new at all this. I'm searching for my Great-Great Grandmother's Family. My Great Uncle says her family lived in the San Luis Potosi & Aguascalientes area (also Real De Asientos). She migrated with her husband and family in the early 1900s. She married my Great-Great Grandfather Sotero Rodriguez, also of the same area. They migrated with another family by the surname of Saldana into the San Benito, TX area and then further north. they all finally settled in a small town by Corpus Christi called TAFT.

My Uncle tells me that her mother died whe she was a little girl. He also says that her father's name was Refugio Monreal and that she told him of two brothers (Santiago Monreal & Jose Monreal). That is pretty much all I know about her side of the family. Oh I am also aware that they lived in San Benito, TX for some time. My late Grandmother Luisa was just a little girl when they crossed.

For Adan Monreal - I have started a family tree on my father's side (Monreal). This is what I have. My dad (Pedro) brothers were Marcelino, Pablo, Jesus and one sister that died when she was very young. Don't know her name. My g-grandparents where Pedro Monreal Sr. & Longina Monreal. My gg-grandparents were G.E. & Lusia Luna and my ggg-grandmother was Apalonia Luna. No info on my ggg-grandfather. They all come to Texas except Apalonia Luna from a small town near Monterrey, Mexico which is not there anymore. We just had a family reunion on June 24th, 2006. We are spreading the word on the reunion to any Monreal. Who knows maybe we are related. A nephew of one of my dad's uncle heard about us and came to meet us. Where do you live? My e-mail is RoseMCantu@hotmail.com. I found out the my grand father fought with Pancho Villa and the day that he died was the day my father was born. Interesting
story.
