Tommaso Montilla- last place of residence Sambiase Italy
arrived in US on March 15,1905. Age at arrival 31years old Married port of departure Naples.
Son Francesco Montiila arrived on March 1,1903 age 16 years old singlr port of departure Napoli. I have more info of highly possible relation. Larry Moore

Nice to meet you! Yes, my grandmother is Catherine (Kate) who married Richard Coates from Shawnee. She and he moved to Elyria, Ohio in the 50's. My grandfather passed away in 1979 just 2 months after I was born but Kate is still living in Elyria. Her and Mary (her sister, Johnny's sister too) are the only ones left. Kate and Richard had 4 children: Richard Jr., Patricia, David (lives in Oklahoma) and Joseph (my father). My grandmother and I are very close and I have been telling her all that I have been discovering in this genealogy search. I guess that you and I would be cousins then. 2nd cousins I think??? I have been talking with someone in Sambiase Italy (where

My name is marty montell... my father was john montell, he was joe's brother..your grandmother ,was katie his sister , she married a coates from shawnee..my grand parents were massdo and genevive montell they came over from italy... My father married Mryr jo Grimley also from shawnee... I now live in denver and have been in radio and TV for years... I remember your mother she would have been my cousin... and she had a brother named richaard....

My son in law is Dr. Edwin Montell, born in Teaneck, New Jersey. Recently he found reference to another Edwin Montell from the Flint Genealogical Society in Genesee County, New York Death Index. It mentions a death date of 6/14/1888/in Vol.V1/Page 300/ record 74. Does anyone here know of this Edwin Montell?

Edgar Hamilton Montell could be the brother of my GG Grandmother Laura Montell Taylor who was born in Maryland in 1848. Their father was Henry Hamilton Montell. My records also show though a Edgar Henderson Montell born in 1845 in Baltimore. Not sure if they could be one and the same? Please e-mail me at mylgbs@aol.com

My great Grandparents were Tomasso and Genevieve Montell. They came over from Sambiase, Italy in early 1900's. Tomasso had one brother, Thomas. Tomasso's parents were Frank and Mary (Moraca). Genevieve's maiden name was Mendicina. They had 9 children and settled in Shawnee, Ohio. There are only 2 children still living...my grandmother, Catherine Coates (Elyria, OH) and Mary Jeany (Columbus, OH). Any information would be wonderful!!! Mail to ladams9200@yahoo.com.

I am just beginning my geneology. My great-grandparents came over from Italy in the early 1900's. I am not sure which part of Italy they came from. They settled in Perry County Ohio. Their name was Montello and when they came to America they shortened it to Montell. They had 9 children, 2 of which are still living. Joseph was a fighter pilot in WWI or II and got shot down. My grandmother's name is Catherine and her sister Mary still lives in Columbus Ohio. I am looking for any information that could direct me in the right way.

for years. I know that you have the last name
spelled Montell. I was wondering if her last name
could have been Monteil? History of my Naomi
lived in Kansas City, MO. and raised 7 children
one of them is named Edgar Joseph Monteil?
